Indonesian rice tables
Our lavish Indonesian rice tables are widely known, even far beyond our Dutch borders. For example, Lonely Planet wrote: 'Blauw is the place to go for stylish Indonesian food'.
We also received 13 points from Gault & Millau in 2020. And we are proud to be among the 500 tastiest restaurants in the Netherlands.

Our inspiration
Indonesian cuisine is rich and diverse. With such a large country and so many different islands, that is of course not surprising. The dishes therefore differ per region.

Unlike other cuisines, Indonesian dishes are rarely recorded in books, but instead passed down from generation to generation. A lot of cooking is done by feeling. We think that's wonderful, but at the same time a shame. That is why we have our own cookbook and we also share our recipes here on the website.
In our (Dutch) cookbook you'll find 70 signature dishes. This way you can also enjoy it at home.

At Blauw we work with ordinary people with an unusual love for Indonesian cuisine. Obviously, it doesn't matter whether you have Indonesian roots or not. The chefs at Blauw are very modest, but also very proud of their dishes. Everything has to be good in taste and in balance. "Follow your gut and trust your sense of taste," they often say. The essence of good food is cooking with attention and love for the products. And then enjoy it together with your friends or family.
